Eligibility & Prerequisites

Eligibility

  • Interest in cybersecurity fundamentals and analyst roles
  • Currently enrolled in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Willing to learn and apply both red and blue team techniques
  • Basic familiarity with computers, networks, and OS navigation
  • Able to commit at least 15 hrs/week during the 8-week program
  • Motivated to build a career in cybersecurity
  • Eager to develop technical and analytical skills

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of networking (IP, ports, protocols)
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems
  • Comfortable using the command-line interface
  • Willingness to explore security tools and frameworks
  • Curiosity to learn about threats, logs, and alerts
  • Experience with Wireshark or Nmap (optional)
  • Written communication skills for reporting
